La Lechonera Restaurant: Authentic Puerto Rican Cuisine in Roslindale

Really sweet restaurant. Gives mom and pop shop and the staff is so welcoming! The atmosphere is very Puerto Rican which I love. Brian with his fellow staff members was so helpful as it was our first time visiting them. Good bank for your buck and I can’t say that often for restaurants in Boston.

Very nice food! We chanced upon this on google review and were pleasantly surprised. The lady was nice to describe to us the various items on the menu. The mofongo was interesting and nice. Very tasty chicken stew. We also ordered beef stew and yellow rice. Definitely worth a try

My parents are Puerto Ricans and their culinary skills are My dad's hobby is roasting pork on the weekends. My mom chefs up arroz con guandules, yuca, guineitos and morsillas. When I go to Spanish Restaurants, I always check to see how they compare to that old school style way of cooking my parents have. The lechonera The food is excellent!!! I definitely recommend this restaurant!!!

We finally checked out La Lechonera for the first time and it was an incredible experience from start to finish! The food is authentic, delicious, and a fantastic value for the price. We ordered the rice and beans along with the yuca fries, which were perfectly crispy and flavorful. We also tried the Guanábana (soursop) and Guayaba (guava) smoothies, both of which were super refreshing and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. What really set this visit apart, though, was the service. Everyone was so nice, but we especially enjoyed chatting with Brian. When he heard it was our first time visiting, he went above and beyond by surprising us with a free Tres Leches cake. It was such a kind, genuine gesture and the cake itself was absolutely sweet and delicious. It’s rare to find a spot that combines great food with such a welcoming neighborhood vibe. We are so happy to have this place nearby and we will definitely be regulars from now on!

I'm late finding this place. Order a soup, bacalaito, stuffed sweet plantain, and cooked banana with pernil. All was good, employees were sweet and the place itself is so cute. Parking is a plus.
